As we were getting close to the school, all the kids kept saying, "Look how cute that little girl is in the sled" and then it was "I want a ride." We found Kelsey and our friend Jacob. I told them to get in the sled. They thought that was great. We started our uphill climb right in front of the school. Now ALL the kids were jealous seeing the two older kids in the sled! Jacob's ride was cut short because his dad came to pick him up. No big deal, another girl from Kelsey's class got in his place. I said I wanted exercise right? At this point I have unzipped my down pullover and loosened my scarf because I was starting to get warm!
We made it home and since it was getting cold out there, and I told Kelsey yesterday that she could sled down Derek's jump, we did just that while they were already somewhat bundled up.
Kelsey went down alone head first and then I figured Kendal would love it too...she did. When the sled stopped, she squealed and said "more." I love her hat in this picture!
There they go again. Matt was taking these pictures from the comfort of the bay window. I am surprised there aren't any Kendal fingerprints smudged all over the pictures from my dirty windows!
Kendal cried when I made them come in. She so loves it out there, even though her little hands were near purple and ice cubes!

Looks like a lot of fun! What a great mom you are to give your kids a ride on the sled. I probably would have made them walk home.
I can't believe how much snow you have. We don't have hardly any sticking to the ground. But with a storm on the way, who knows what to expect!
How much exercise do you need?! My legs are still burning from this morning. Way to go!
Rachel, Our driveway is a mess! Brian can't pull himself away from the election polls.
I love the picture of Kelsey and Jacob and Kendal, I need you to email me that one too. Exercise and I will stop with the orange rolls. Or if you do extra exercise I will bring artichoke dip!
You are such a good mom! Looks like that hill had a double benefit.
Wow,,,,, You are a good mom,,,, I never played with my kids in the snow, as i hate snow more that words can describe.
Those pictures of Derek are awesome. I can tell we grew up in the same neck of the woods by your song list. I was so excited to hear some of my favorites: ABBA, Roxette, White Lion, and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band!!! You'd think there wasn't any other music where we grew up.
Wendy, mine are plenty sore, that is why I needed to stretch them!!
Jenn, is there any OTHER music besides that? Heck no!!
You're such a good mom! I was serious when I saw you out my window yesterday and said to myself, "What a good mom" but in a jealous sarcastic way. Then I realized it was you and I thought, "GO RACHEL!" I had made plans to go play in the snow with the kids today, but they seemed to have forgotten and so I am keeping quite until they remember. It's so much work to get them all bundled up. Derrick’s hill looks just perfect for sledding down.
That looks like a lot of fun. Today Lyn took off half day for his annual sledding trip with the kids. We had blast! I'll have to post the pictures soon.
