carpet on the deck

I made a sweet purchase yesterday at The Home Depot. Kelsey's last day of school was yesterday and after she got out of school, we ran to Park City for sandals and we stopped at The Home Depot to check out interior door prices for the basement. I was also interested in their indoor/outdoor carpet for the deck. Emmitt has been getting so many splinters in his hands and feet when he plays out there. I knew I needed to give it another coat of stain/weather proofer stuff, but a gallon of that good stuff is around $30, and it is hot hot hot on bare little feet.

So I checked out the carpet. They had one kind that was on clearance, I happened to like it, so we got some. I love it. I spent $36 for the carpet (a 10 by 12 piece) - no splinters, not so hot, a little more homey, and we will see the other ways I like it soon. As for now, Emmitt and Kendal love it, as do the lazy sun bathing cats. I guess I will be vacuuming it often!
