midnight projects

Last night before I went to bed, I had a few things that HAD to be finished. One of those things was taking care of these cucumbers.

I have a ton of cucs ever 4 days or so, and I love cucumbers in vinegar, but I tried my cousin Kate's recipe and it is fabulous! So last night I made some more of her cucs to share. My teenage neighbor will probably completely pass out over the red onions in his jar, but I only added a few!

This week is fair week here and I promised myself months ago that I would enter a quilt or two. So I finished the binding last night around midnight. It is ready to hand in today. This is the quilt I made for my sister and her birthday is tomorrow. She will have to wait and get it next week. Happy Birthday Tori!

Lucky Tori! So I've got to try that recipe. I love vinegar cucumbers but never had them with that recipe--sounds super yummy! Loved her salt snob comment-- I'm one of those too by choice and by marriage. :)
