Julie has inspired me!

A cute girl in our ward named Julie as been quilting in my basement. I have my neighbor's quilting machine in my basement and Julie pieced together a gorgeous quilt and wanted to use the machine to quilt it. She did a super job.

I couldn't believe how quick she was! The worst part about the whole deal is putting the quilt top, batting, and backing all on the frames and making sure it is rolled up nice and straight. I think that ordeal took us about 2 hours, just to put it on the quilting frames.

Julie quilted all of it by herself and I think that it took less than 4 actual sewing hours. She did the cutest designs and just free handed it. This is a horrible picture because of the bad lighting, but here is her finished project. I had Kelsey take the picture and I told her not to get me in it, so she cut off my head. Not quite what I had in mind, but oh well. Good Job Julie!!! You have inspired me to get going on a few of my quilt tops.

I caught Kendal sitting on Kelsey's bed the other day just coloring away with one crayon and her favorite paper note pad. (Thanks for the birthday present Dad, she STILL loves it even though EVERY page is colored or scribbled on!)

She is such a sweetheart and we are so happy she is ours. What a good time she is, well, when she remains fully clothed for more than an hour.

Oh yeah, I have good news!! Amanda Lee is back in town and with 3 weeks of pictures and stories, and with high speed internet! Go check her blog out soon for a good laugh. Glad you are back girl!

Love the quilt! I am inspired as well, at least to get all of my squares cut out.
Kendal looks so determined in that picture. I love it when they just sit and color and you don't have to worry about them!

That is beautiful, I am too inspired. We need to go to a fabric store, I need a new quilt. What am I saying, I would never use it on my bed, I had to toss my last comforter because Jack, while I was clipping coupons, took sissors to it....
