The makers of Pull Ups better be rich!

Kendal is going through a naked phase again. She keeps stripping off her pants and diaper and every time she does this, her diaper is wet. So I figure she is ready to really do it! Yesterday we bought the cutest little pull ups with little girls, hearts, and flowers all over them. She thought they were great. She kept looking at them and she loved them. But she wanted to see them so badly, she kept taking them off to get a better look!! That completely defeats my purpose!

Yesterday I sat her on the potty chair about every hour, and she NEVER once did her sweet little business when she was there! That is the great part about the pull ups, they slide up and down like undies so you don't have to lay them down everytime to fix the diaper. Today, I set her on it the potty chair (by the way, I totally hate the word potty, we call it use the 'bathroom') every hour and still nothing happened when she was there. She sure loves to sit there though! I think she isn't quite interested yet, what do you think?

Back to the potty thing real quick. I have no trouble calling it a potty chair, but for some reason, I can not bring myself or allow my children to say "I need to go potty." We say "I need to use the bathroom." Yes, another Rachel quirk uncovered!

I hear you on the potty training thing. We have been working with Anna for a couple of months. She will go when I put her on the potty, but can't seem to figure out how to tell me she has to go.
I can't believe how expensive pull ups are. I agree with your title, they have got to be rich!

Potty training isn't training for the child, it's training for the Mom to remember to take the child. we have been trying to get ray to poop in the potty before we buy pull-ups, but I've been saving pull-up coupons like crazy so that when he is ready we will be able to afford some.

Just a thought here as i was reading your post,,,,, maybe Kendal does not know what to do when she is sitting on the potty chair,,,, anyway,, Good luck!

mom, I know that is the problem, but how do I tell her? Kelsey even as done a few demos for us!

Well. she does like to mimic her big sister,,,,so my suggestion would be to keep up the demos,,, it'll soon sink in.

My advise as a Mother of 2 1/2 potty trained boys. It is all about the demo, lots of salty rewards/snacks, lots of drinks and lots of trips to the Toilet (British word again.) Mind you I said BOYS. I don't understand the whole V word when it comes time to "toilet training." With the P pointers, it is just another shooting game.
Keep up with the pinching your pennies web site, I stocked up on pull ups in the spring for an incredible price...
One more comment, I like the padded Underware, I have had good success with them. With my kids...
Not with myself..
Remember you will have acciedents now or later, it will happen no matter when you decide to toilet train.

If only Kendal had something to point, that might at least get her interest! Oh well, we will do our best. A mother's work is NEVER done, come and look at my kitchen sink!
