Mess Hater = Fun Hater

Most of you know that I am a mess hater. Complete and total mess hater. Tonight I realized that mess hater sometimes means fun hater. I am not a fun hater, only when it makes a mess. I know, I am messed up!!

Tomorrow I will post our hot dog and marshmallow roast pictures, but tonight's pictures are of the bubble bath AFTER the roast. I don't like the smell of smoke either, so I made the girls get in the tub tonight. I don't want to admit this, but I think this is only Kendal's 2nd bubble bath. She is such a little fish, and in the past she would drink the water, so that is my excuse. Kelsey and Kendal had a super time in the tub tonight and my bathroom floor is the proof. It is proof of the good time and also that I am NOT a fun hater (usually).

This picture cracks me up. Kelsey was laughing so hard at Kendal dunking herself under the water and coming up totally bubbled over.

Kendal was acting like a maniac! When I was young we had a great black lab named Bo, Beau, whatever. Actually, I will say his name was Bo, because Beau is just a little too trendy and reminds me of a punk kid named Beau I used to know. Anyway, we used to get Bo so wild and wound up he would go ballistic. He would run and run and run, turn around and run and run and run. It was funny for me when I was little, but scary at the same time because he was so wild and usually he was so calm. Anyway, Kendal did that tonight! She was being so silly and Kelsey and I were laughing at her so hard she just kept being sillier and sillier. She was totally showing off! She reminded me of Bo when she did about 3 laps around Kelsey in the tub and then dove her head into the water, came up covered in bubbles, and did it again and again. Kelsey and I were laughing so hard I couldn't breathe, I fell off of my sitting post (the toilet) onto the floor, cried, and Kelsey peed she was laughing so hard - in the tub!! It was great. I think I will always remember how crazy Kendal was being, and the fact that our laughter just fed the beast is pretty good too.

This is Kelsey being Santa Claus. Ho ho ho!! So I learned tonight as I mopped up the floor, how fun mess making can be.

One more thing, Matt had his knee scoped today. He got kicked by a horse a while ago and it has really been bothering him lately. They thought it was a torn meniscus, but when the doc got in there, he realized it was a torn piece of cartilage. So he cut it out and all should be well. Matt has been camped out on the couch all day, watching hunting videos (thanks alot Paul Kendal's Never Enough !), ice packed, moderately drugged, and doing okay. He sure is a good guy. I thought he would be a worse patient than he has been, but I guess I still have tomorrow!!

I have you beat... Ainsley has not ever had a bubble bath and the other girls haven't had one in a year or longer. I have fears of bubble baths. Sounds like fun anyway. Hope Matt gets feeling better. Didn't know he was having troubles.

At least it was a "clean" mess. You can look at it with the perspective that your bathroom floor got a got mopping.
Bubble baths are so fun, especially in a giant tub like yours with a little sis to play with. I think that it is great! Kendal's personality sure is shining through.

I so hate messes too! I find myself always saying "Don't make messes!" Although---your house is ALWAYS clean! I have never seen it messy!I agree with Tori-at least you got you kids and your floor clean at the same time...multitasking :0

Mom said... you anonymous said... and tori said... are all early risers. GRUNDY!
Anyway love the pictures, I can't believe Kendal was diving her head under the water. Jack has tubes in his ears so I am so nervous he is going to do that. She is so two. I love the feeding off of you and Kelsey to make her be even more silly. FANTASTIC.

Kelsey and I still laughed together today about how crazy-wild Kendal was in the tub last night.

Mom, I am glad we gave you the giggles today!

So you like a mess that cleans up in return? Well by a can of shaving cream and put Kendal in some old clothes and sit her on the counter top or kitchen floor and spray some shaving cream and let her go. Eventually it will become running however it just wipes off with a wet rag and you get a clean freah smell in your house from the shaving cream and it's lots of fun to draw pictures in it! Enjoy! or just call us and we'll come up it's one of Ray's favorite things and about the only way my floor gets clean these days!

Heather, we use to do that at the end of the school year to clean off our desks. I love it. Probably will never do it, BUT I LOVE IT!
