Kendal's big day

Kendal started the early intervention preschool program on Monday the 28th. This is a good thing right? Yes it is going to be so good for her, but I am so sad about it. Well, sad that my sweet 'baby' is going to school, but happy that she is able to go and learn. She goes 3 afternoons a week and there is a speech therapist there with her all day. That will be a super good thing. We had our last visit yesterday with our Park City speech therapist. She did a great job and we will miss Karen's visits.

Monday and Tuesday I had to go to SLC to take some professional development classes to renew my teaching license so Matt was Mr Mom for those two days. He took her to school both of these days and he said she is doing okay. She cried for a few minutes the first time so he stayed and played for awhile. Tuesday was no problem, but she was ready to go when he got there. I get to take her today, I hope it goes well.

I told Matt he had to take a picture of her on her first day of school. He told me Monday night that he had forgotten, so this is Kendal on her second day of school. I love how he propped her against the wall for these pictures. With her broken leg bent, the backpack, the smile, and her playing in her hair, she looks like a high school girl flirting with the boys!

I am guessing this one is on the playground. Not sure. But Matt is sure about something - being Mr Mom is hard work. He said to me Monday night when I got home "So what did you have in mind for dinner?" I laughed and said "You have been home all day, what do you have ready?" Then he said "Are you kidding me? I have been so busy feeding kids, washing kids, getting them to school, doing laundry (he did 3 loads - impressive because I thought he didn't even know how to turn on the washer), making beds, and just working that I haven't had time to think about dinner!"

Yep, that is the response I was looking for!

like to be mom. That is so funny

Tell him to add mowing lawns, and yard work on top of all that. But it really is cool,, that he got a good dose of motherhood.

helping friends with quilting, babysitting extra kids for a couple hours, and cleaning toilets could also be added onto that list. Matt was awesome, he took good care of those cute girls!

Oh my goodness...What are you going to do without the girls for a couple of hours? That's great that she gets to go and learn.
On a different note, I had to laugh at Matt's response. If our husband's had to do what we have to do everyday we can only imagine what the world would be like :)

I love it!!!! Joe spent a weekend alone with Addison and when I got home all he could say is "I didn't know that watching her is so exhausting. I couldn't get anything done." It just makes me smile when they realize what our day is like!

Really Kendal in school. I swear they grow up so fast when they start that.

That is so great!--He gets it! He really gets it!

Kendall looks like such a big "Schoolgirl!"

BTW, I can't believe that Crane bought Kelsey a new backpack and now Kendal on her first day of school has to use Kelsey's old one!!!!!! Where is the love?

This will be so good for her, but so hard for you to let her go so early. I remember dropping Thomas off a month after he turned three for his inervention prtogram and I went in the car and cried, cried, cried. They just seem so little to be going, but it's like you said...it's for the best.
