Remember playing in refrigerator boxes?

Today I was spiffing up our totally junky, nasty computer room and felt the need for another little bookcase to put in the girls' room. Kendal has been so into books for a month or so and since she can actually look at them without destroying them now, she should have a little more access to them. The bookcase of kids books has been in the computer room with the door shut or else she would make that room look like Katrina in no time. Every morning I get her a few books out to look at through the day and she actually spends alot of time on the couch or Love Sac looking at them.
So today I went to our amazing local Kings Store, soon to be put out of business since some horrible 120,000 square foot, or somewhere around there, big box store has just been approved for my sweet little Heber City. Anyway, I got this spanking killer deal on a spanking killer plastic bookcase. As usual, the box turned out to be a good time for the chillens. Kendal just snuggled right in. She stood up alone in it for a good 3 or 4 minutes, and then when it was Kelsey's turn to squeeze into the box, Kelsey promptly fell over in about 3 seconds. Who knew? Kendal loves her free access to a handful of Kendal-approved books in her own room and in her own bookcase now!

Why do we waste money on Toys? If we would just keep in stock a variety of different sized boxes, plastic bubble wrap, and stuff like that, our kids would so totally be entertained all day... Cute pic. That box looks small, how long did it last?

Totally agree! Taylor is completely content with the hose outside, or a little garden shovel and paint brush to try to dig up dinosaur bones in the yard. We could be saving ourselves so much money to buy toys for US!!!

I say we do it! No more toys for the little ones, only toys for us. Except the toys my husband would want, we would have to sell the children to buy.

The box had to be taken away for a little while so I could get some good mileage out of it. At the rate they were going, it would have been nearly disintegrated in about 12 minutes!
I am all about the mom toys, I can think of a bunch of things I would sure have a good time with!

I love that the box can help contain/entertain the kids for hours on end. I keep a couple of extra in the basement for Anna. Maybe she will get a couple of more for Christmas!
