Quilt Retreat

A few weeks ago we had our annual quilt retreat. We went up to the Heber Valley Camp and we had a fantastic time. The facilities were wonderful - heated pavilion, HUGE kitchen, sleeping area, and the list goes on and on. We had around 30 ladies attend this year and it was fun to sew our little hearts out for the weekend.

Our guild is full of amazing ladies that create amazing things. Here is my friend Jen working on an adorable wallhanging.

And here I am on a 'minimal hygiene' Saturday. To heck with looking nice, it is all about the sewing!

This is the room I slept in with 10 other ladies. My sleeping bag is spread out on the floor. In the past, late late nights occur at retreat, but I retired around 1:00 am. A few of my sleeping neighbors rolled in around 3:30, and they were up before me sewing again the next morning!

I worked on a few projects, my THROW ME A CURVE quilt that now needs a few borders and it will be finished, a new civil war dress for Emmitt, and a few other projects that were nice to get out of the way and completed.

This crazy spring weather was a little unpredictable and there was a ton of snow up there for the middle of May. It was crazy, but beautiful. There is the view of my gorgeous little green valley from our retreat cabin, and the pavilion where the fun was had for the weekend!
