We can all eat in peace again

When dinnertime rolls around at our house, Kendal has been getting a little sassy lately. Actually, she has been playing the 2 year old part. Until last night, we would all sit down, Kendal in the high chair, and the rest of us at the table with her as close as possible. Kendal would have a bite or two and then say, very loudly, many times "ALL DONE" and squirm until we let her down. She would then climb onto one of our chairs and proceed to eat.
So yesterday I went to our wonderful Kings Store and bought a booster chair. She loves it. She loves being a big girl.

She ate so well last night in her chair with the rest of us at the table. I have this new theory, well, not really new, but you know what I mean. I have to start treating her older if I want her to act a little older like she should. I know that sounds harsh, but she does not act like the normal almost-3 year old!

Do you notice the haze? I had the fire alarms going off with the steaks I broiled! They were still too pink for me to eat, so Matt ate 2 sirloin steaks. I am ready for the BBQ outside!

My big little girl! She loved eating breakfast this morning sitting right by her sister too! This is a good thing.

Nice chair, Kendall. I know what you mean about the BBQ. Actually, I tried to use ours the other day, but it was out of propane. I ended up cooking hamburgers inside and my house was all smoky - and stinky!

Gotta love the two year olds! They become so independant it's scary!
We wanted to BBQ the other night as well, but it was to dang cold, so we George Foreman grilled. It actually wasn't bad and it didn't fill the house with smoke. Don't get me wrong, I prefer the outdoor grill, but this was a nice alternative!

Joe read your blog and said "see Lindsay, you don't have to cook everything on the BBQ". We've been known to BBQ when it is snowing. There just isn't anything like a good steak off the grill. Kendal looks so happy in her booster chair :)

I started to thaw some steaks out for Sun. and then thought I'd save myself from the debate with Darryl about grilling standing in a foot of snow so I put them back in the freezer. Springs coming I see birds all the time. YEA!
