Good Morning America

Last month I posted about a kid that lives where I grew up and he was on the cover of The New Era, a church magazine for teenagers. His name is Porter Ellett and he only has one arm. Anyway, I don't have a TV, so I need someone to watch Good Morning America tomorrow because he is going to be on it. The state basketball tournament was this past weekend, and Porter is one of the starting players and is pretty amazing. Anyway, he and five of his teammates from home were flown to New York today so they could be on Good Morning America tomorrow. Someone watch it for me please!

Thanks for the heads up, I saw him. He wasn't on till the last ten minutes of Good Morning America. He had his BB team there behind him and they asked him questions about his future...he mentioned an LDS mission and then asked if he has had any offers from Colleges yet. I bet after the interview he will some come pouring in. He played hoops for a bit with them and made every basket. He seems like a great kid. YEA for your town....it's on the map now:):):)

My Babysitter was talking about it this AM when we were on the phone. I don't know if it put you on the map, but you definately have a lot of people wondering. (Not like they can get into Wayne Co. anyway with the road be closed for almost 2 days!!! I think it is open now.)

Rachel,
If you get on the internet and go to Good Morning America then search Porter Ellett you can watch a video clip about him and the team. That is what I did this morning so you tax dollars were hard at work.

Some how I missed this post yesterday. I've got to watch that online! There's just something about small town people that makes me feel like I'm related to them. You're pobably laughing because you know the small town jokes-- we probably are related some how. LOL

Just a quick note here,,,They had a limo come and pick the kids up Sunday,,, The road going to Richfield had been closed,(so much snow and wind, i guess it was really ugly) so the limo had to come back and go over the Hogan. I was really surprised that no coach or parents with them,,, they had to be soooooo excited. And i heard today that before the limo driver took them to the airport in NYC, he gave them a 3 hour tour of NYC,,,,,, yayayayayay for small town boys.
