FAIRY CAKE

Kelsey turned 6 years old yesterday. Here we are making her birthday cake. She loves to help in the kitchen. Kendal thinks she likes to help, but all her help turns out into a mess.

Kendal's first beater experience. When she was done she asked for "Mow."

Kelsey's fairy cake. I would like to say she decorated it, but that would be a lie. Why am I fessing up to this? Okay, Kelsey did a great job with the purple Betty Crocker icing tube didn't she? Heather, don't you dare comment!

it looks a lot better than the poor mess of a cake that I did for Jack last year. I gave up and buy them or ask Poloncic and my mom to make them... It what a pretty fairy princess dress cake!

The cake is wonderful and I am sure that she thinks she is on top of the world! The memories of helping make her cake is so much better than the gross store-bought icing that you get on the bakery cakes that tastes like shortening.

How did you make it? That is such an awesome cake! I don't see that I'll ever make a fairy cake but I could make it into a dirt hill or something. ;)

The cake is GORGEOUS :~) Me, I just load it up with frosting and M&M's then call it good. Atleast there was a good amount of effort on your part. You made me laugh!

You guys all make me feel good about my lame fairy cake. Thanks, but you should go see my friend Heather's blog, she makes AMAZING birthday cakes for her kids.

I asked Kelsey is she wanted a volcano cake. That is what it looked like without the fairy. Jenn, that is close to a dirt pile!
