Sunday Night at the Movies

This was us last night - a bowl of popcorn for everyone, all sitting on the SAME couch, lots of smiles, and watching Ice Age while it snowed.

I had no idea it was the Super Bowl yesterday! We were all cuddling in with our popcorn, ( I say cuddled because the snow has almost buried us!) watching Ice Age (I love Manny!) when my friend Jen called. She said "Does Matt like Lil' Smokies?" I said "Oh yeah, we all love them." She then tells me that as soon as the game is over she will bring some Lil' Smokies by. Game?? What game?

My sweet Matty, lover of children and cartoons, watched Ice Age without complaining. Actually, there is nothing he could have done about it since we don't have cable or even get 1 channel! He knew it was the Super Bowl, and now I know why he would sneak away every half hour. He was checking the score online! But still, not one complaint! I love him.

That is pretty amazing. We just watch it out of habit. We weren't rooting ofr any special team.

WE didn't think Matt would come, we had good food for us girls, and Amanda and I only sat down to watch the last 1 min of the game. Brian and Matt are not big time gamers but enjoyed watching, they both wanted NE Pat's to get the perfect record. Brian was sad for them... Thank goodness that is the only game we ever watch, unless Jazz are in the playoffs and then it is only when Poloncics come over to watch because they don't get the game.
I am sorry, glad he was the good husband and daddy!

We only watch the game for the commercials and they were not even that good this year. I don't know if we will watch it next year...It just isn't that fun for me anymore.

Jen, Matt wouldn't have come! See, you know us too well.

I remember the cool commercials from long ago super bowls. I forgot all about that!

Matty is such a cute dad! Lucky for both of us, our husbands aren't die hard sports freaks. It's nice not to have to watch sports every sunday afternoon.

Tori, I agree it is nice not to compete with the sunday and monday night football. I am all about a get together with candy, chips, soda, and Hamburgers... I agree with Wendy, I had no idea who was in the super bowl, and I do miss the good comercials, they seemed to be better years ago.

Great Dad! There is one commercial you'll have to go to Youtube and watch. It cracked me up. Search for Tide talking stain Super bowl commercial.

All the Epperson Men watched the big game on the theatre screen. They said the best commerical was the Tide one, and a Budwiser one was funny. My kids had a Teen Titans marathon upstiars and I finished a good book in the front room. It would have been more fun if we watched a movie all together though.
