Hot Buys

What is this you ask? This my dear friends is the fruits of a shopping trip I took yesterday. Yes, that is right, Rachel went shopping. Don't fall off your hard, blue, folding chair. I went shopping! I have to tell you, the weather up here in Heber City is getting a little cool, and I have to start thinking about some long pants. (I will NEVER say jeans, that is way to cityish for me.) So, as I was saying, LONG PANTS, I need some. I hate to admit that I only have 2 pair from last year that a) fit and b) are presentable in public, meaning no holes, stains, etc. Actually if I use that criteria, I only have one pair. So, I went shopping.
I am so proud of myself. I got 5 pairs of pants, 2 of which are capris, but since they cover my knees they are considered pants to me, 8 shirts, 4 shirts for Kelsey, and 2 pairs of pants for Kendal. WOW!! I just doubled my wardrobe! Well, not really, my closet is full, but I honestly only have about 5 or 6 shirts, once again, without stains or holes that are public worthy. I don't remember being such a slob before kids, I never had stains on my shirts!
So, here is the kicker, I spent $77.50. Not bad huh? Let's see, I got 19 clothing items, so that is $4.08 on average for each item! Hot dang, I love The Thrift Store! When I went shopping for my Dolly Parton outfit, I think I became addicted!

Oh my Hell! That's my first thought! I will never reveal to you MY average price per piece of clothing, especially on the Lucky pants shopping days.
I am very proud that you actually went shopping for YOURSELF, but lets bump you up from the thrift store, actually soon I might have some clothes for ya :)

I thought I would get that reaction out of you. Thanks for being PREDICATABLE and funny.
You are right, I could never spend $80 on one pair of Luckys. Sorry, we are wired differently! Just be happy I get to wear something that isn't from sophomore year of HS!!

Hey, I wore that blue San Diego shirt that used to be mom's. The one with the wierd fish thing one it. I think she got it when she went on that cruise with you. I have TONS of clothes that are very dated and alot of them I inherited from Mom. Love them, the most comfortable ever!!

I happen to know that they have Luckys, abercombie, gap, and lots of other name brands at that store! They get all their clothes from Park City....so most of them are name brands! I am so proud of you..my little shopper, now next time we will get you to look at purses! :)

Rachel it is 2:31 AM and I clicked on your blog and forgot the music was on and the computer's volume was way up high and it just scared the HELL out of me....thank you, I am awake again:)

Ya for you! I love to shop....when I have the money. You found some cute clothes!! I have the worst luck at thrift stores. Maybe I should go with you next time. I pulled out some pants for William and they were high waters. He liked them so he wore them and I just laughed and laughed at him! I need to go shopping too for the fall.

What in the world were you doing up at 2 am? I hope it had ice cream involved.
About the shopping, just because I actually found 5 pair to buy, doesn't mean I had to sift. I think I tried on 19 pairs of pants, Kelsey counted them for me. So I really don't have good luck, believe me, I passed up at least 100 pairs of elastic waist, faded Lees.
